It was fun watching people take pictures of each other with Marx. Two charming young women from Madrid asked me to take their photo flanking Marx with fists in the air. I asked them what it meant to them. „Communism,“ they answered. „Because we are communists.“ We talked a little about the relative ease with which people say this in the US, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
